PLACEMENT NEWS: Daly City chooses Christine Paras as new Deputy Director of Finance & Administrative Services

Christine Paras was recently chosen by Daly City to join the Finance & Administrative Services team. In addition to having the primary responsibility in the Administrative division, she will also provide general support for the department’s three other divisions: Accounting Services, Utility Billing and Information Services.

Before joining Daly City, Christine was the Budget Manager with the City of Palo Alto where she oversaw budget development and monitoring of the City’s $0.5B citywide budget and its 83 different funds. She also managed the general budget of $0.2B and helped to implement OpenGov, a public-facing interactive website intended to enhance financial transparency.

She is an analytical and creative problem solver, who will enjoy working closely with the Director to manage the City’s multi-year, strategic financial plan to ensure the fiscal sustainability of Daly City.”

Christine received her B.S. in Accounting from Saint Mary’s College of California, and her Master’s in Public Administration from Golden State University in San Francisco. She is a Certified Public Accountant with the State of California; and active member in the Government Finance Officers Association and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers. Additionally, Christine was a participant in the Silicon Valley Leadership Academy this summer.
