Congratulations to Jeff Schwob and the City of Redwood City!! City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz announced her selection of Jeff to the permanent role on November 15th following an open and competitive recruitment. He had been serving as Redwood City’s Interim Director for the past few months.
Jeff brings over 30 years of Bay Area urban planning experience to the role. During his career, he served in the Cities of San Rafael, Santa Rosa and Fremont, where he served as Community Development Director for nearly seven years. Since 2018, his commitment to public service has continued by serving in interim roles and as an advisor to various communities.
Throughout his distinguished career, Jeff has been widely recognized for being a creative problem solver and an exceptional manager and mentor in addition to his urban planning and community development expertise. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon.
