Patrick Heisinger named Redwood City Assistant City Manager

We are thrilled to join Redwood City in announcing the selection of Patrick Heisinger for the role of Assistant City Manager. In this position, he will oversee the City’s land use and development functions and manage City-owned property along with other major initiatives. Patrick began his tenure in Redwood City as Interim Housing Manager last spring and quickly transitioned to the role of Interim Assistant City Manager in the summer. He previously served as Assistant City Manager and Interim City Manager in the City of East Palo Alto and, before that, held roles focused on Community Development and Housing initiatives for the Cities of San Jose, San Bernardino, and Riverside, along with the County of Riverside.

Patrick holds graduate degrees in both Public Administration and Education and an undergraduate degree in International Relations. He is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Upon announcing her selection, City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz stated, “Patrick’s career has been marked by his dedication to public service and his commitment to improving communities through strategic management and collaboration. His expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the City’s future and advancing the Council’s strategic goals.”
