Charlie Ebeling now Ventura’s Public Works Director

Charlie Ventura

Our celebration streak continues!

Charles Ebeling began his service as the City of Ventura’s new Public Works Director last month and we’re doubly excited about this one! Why? Because way back in 2009, TBC had the distinct honor of placing Charlie in the City of Carpinteria as their Public Works Director & City Engineer. Serving the industry for 20 years pays off because we never let our rock stars get too far away from us!

Before joining the Ventura team, Charlie served as Director of Public Works/City Engineer in the City of Goleta. He brings 27 years of engineering experience serving the public and private sectors and 15 years of experience as a director to his new coastal city along with incredible expertise in roadway and bridge design, traffic engineering and transportation planning.

Charlie earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University, Chico and holds credentials as both a professional and traffic engineer in California. He is also a Certified Master Technician by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

See why we’re so excited!

“We are thrilled to welcome Charlie Ebeling to our City’s leadership team,” said City Manager Bill Ayub. “With the City of Ventura’s rich history spanning over 150 years, our aging infrastructure presents unique challenges. Charlie’s extensive experience and innovative approaches will be invaluable as we address these issues and continue to enhance and maintain our public infrastructure for the benefit of our community.”

We’re thrilled too, Bill, and are super appreciative of your trust with this important recruitment.

Major kudos to TBC’s Tina White for leading this recruitment and our wonderful HR partners in the City – Bill Friedel and Danielle Keys – for their invaluable assistance along with way.
