Patty Koch is new Central County Fire Department Fire Marshal

Patty Ccfd

We are pleased to join our client in announcing the selection of Patty Koch as the new Fire Marshal for the Central County Fire Department (CCFD) in Burlingame, California. Patty is a 24-year career fire service veteran with experience in four different agencies, serving most recently as CCFD’s Deputy Fire Marshal.

Patty started her career in the fire service as a volunteer for her community fire department and serving as a seasonal fire fighter for the US Forest Service. She then became one of the first full-time employees for the Julian Fire Protection District and it was the devastating 2003 Cedar Fire in North San Diego County that spurred her interest in fire prevention.

Before joining CCFD in 2019, Patty served as the Fire Marshal for the North County Fire Protection District. She holds an Associate’s degree in Fire Prevention Technology from Santa Ana College and a Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management. A long list of other credentials supplement Patty’s certification as a Fire Marshal in the State of California.

The Central County Fire Department is a Joint Powers Authority serving the Cities of Burlingame, Hillsborough, and Millbrae on the San Francisco Peninsula.
