Glendale Water & Power recently welcomed their new Water Engineering Manager, Lorena Powell, to the utilities team. The City of Glendale serves a population of nearly 200,000 and is the fourth-largest city in Los Angeles County.
Lorena is no stranger to Southern California, having served as a Senior Civil Engineer in the Utilities Division in the City of Downey before joining GWP. Our candidate started her career in the private sector as a drafting technician before entering city government with the city of Huntington Beach and then moving on to Burbank Water & Power. Lorena earned both her MPA and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Cal State Long Beach.
