We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the City of Novato’s appointment of Bob Curry as its new Chief Building Official. Bob brings more than three decades of experience from both the public and private sectors to Novato, most recently serving as Chief Building Official for the City of Rohnert Park.
“I am thrilled to welcome Bob to our team,” said Clare Hartman, Community Development Director. “With decades of hands-on experience in building safety and compliance, Bob brings the expertise and leadership we need to continue our efforts in providing exceptional customer service to our community.”
Our candidate holds multiple International Code Council (ICC) certifications, including Master Code Professional, Building Official, Residential Inspector, and Commercial Building Inspector. Prior to his public service career, he had an extensive career as a General Contractor, managing both residential and commercial projects. Fun fact: Bob has called Novato home for more than 30 years!
