This month in Southern California, Glendale Water & Power welcomed Susan Pan as their new Principal Civil Engineer. As those in the industry know, these niche positions are not easy to fill so we are super excited to help make this match for our client.
In her new role, Susan will oversee the utility’s Water Engineering Section and take the lead on planning, organizing, and managing a team of talented engineers and project managers. Prior to joining the City of Glendale (pop. 191,586), Susan served as the Civil Engineer Division Manager for the City of San Bernardino.
Our candidate’s public sector experience also includes serving in engineering capacities in the Cities of Santa Clara and Ventura, as well as the County of Ventura. In addition to her time in local government, Susan also brings private experience from two different consulting firms during her 30-year career. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Rice University.
