We’re delighted to share in celebrating the selection of Michael Sinor as the City of Mountain View’s next Chief Information Officer/IT Director.
Upon making her announcement, City Manager Kimbra McCarthy stated, “He is an innovative and results-oriented leader, bringing with him decades of information technology experience from working for cities in Northern California. Michael brings a strategic mindset to Mountain View and is also willing to roll up his sleeves to help implement our vision to make technology advancements for the benefit of the organization and community.”
Prior to Mountain View, Michael served as Chief Technology Officer in the City of San Leandro, interim IT Director for the City of Berkeley, and held increasingly responsible positions including serving as Assistant IT Director for the City of Roseville.
Our candidate holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz and is a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO).
In his new role, Michael will oversee Mountain View’s IT Department’s 25 ‑member team and its $11.3 million annual budget. He will manage the City’s enterprise systems, communication networks, free City Wi‑Fi services, and telecommunications infrastructure and services to 13 departments.
