Ivan Holler, currently Assistant Manager/Planning Director for the Rancho Santa Fe Association, was recently hired by the City of Murrieta as its new Development Services Director. He will begin his new post on April 27, 2014.

Ivan has over 15 years combined management experience in land use planning in the public and private sector. Previous experience also includes working for the County of San Diego as Chief of the Building Division and Long Range Planning Division, where he successfully planned, managed and completed several projects, garnering the cooperation and involvement of stakeholders, including elected officials, building industry representatives, developers and community members. As a result of his success in San Diego, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors appointed Ivan to the Red Tape Reduction Task Force in 2011, with the goal of streamlining the permitting process. More than two-thirds of the recommendations were subsequently implemented.

“I am very pleased to welcome Ivan to the City of Murrieta,” said City Manager Rick Dudley, “His experience with the County of San Diego and Rancho Santa Fe Association brings breadth and depth in both technical skills and customer service.”

Ivan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is a Licensed Landscape Architect.
