We are proud to celebrate with the City of Tustin in announcing the selection of Sean Thuilliez to serve as the City’s next Police Chief. Chief Thuilliez brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience and currently serves as Chief of Police for the City of Beaumont, California. He also serves as the 2nd Vice President for the California Police Chiefs Association and is slated to be President in 2026.
“I am excited to welcome Chief Thuilliez to the City of Tustin,” said City Manager Aldo Schindler. “His vast experience, forward-thinking leadership, experience with officer development and strong commitment to public safety make him an ideal choice for our police department. I have full confidence that he will build upon our strong foundation and further enhance the safety and well-being of our community.”
Tustin Mayor Austin Lomdard also expressed his support for the new appointment, stating, “Chief Thuilliez’s track record of community oriented policing and operational excellence aligns perfectly with Tustin’s values. His passion for public service and innovative law enforcement strategies will ensure that our city remains a safe and welcoming place for all residents.”
Chief Thuilliez holds a graduate degree in Management from the University of Redlands and a bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and California POST Command College.
