During this Women’s History Month, we are pleased to be celebrating the success of Erica Freeman for being selected to serve as the new Building Official in Marin County. In her new role, Erica serves in the Community Development Agency as a Deputy Director over Building & Safety.
Prior to joining the County of Marin this month, our candidate served as the Building Official in the Town of Anselmo, California. In addition to her local government experience, she worked in three different engineering firms in the Bay Area and New York before starting her public sector career.
Erica earned a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
