Budget season is a perfect time to honor our most recent finance executive placement! We are delighted to announce Kim Sao’s selection as the City of Chino’s new Director of Finance. One of the fastest growing cities in the nation, Chino is home to a current population of 93,000 and is slated to reach 140,000 at buildout. The City employs 422 f/t and 198 p/t employees and is supported by a total budget of $118 million.
With nearly 30 years of municipal finance experience, Kim brings tremendous public finance breadth and depth to her new city. She most recently served as Finance Director/City Treasurer in the City of Paramount and held previous positions in the Cities of Carson, South Gate, Norwalk, and Westminster. Kim earned both her Master’s in Public Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Business Administration from Cal State Long Beach.
