We are delighted to announce the placement of Karen Haluza as the City of Fullerton’s new Director of Community Development. Karen will begin her new post on December 15.
Karen’s current post as Interim Executive Director of Planning and Building Agency for the City of Santa Ana is the latest in a career spanning over 30 years in the industry. With a proven track record in urban planning, and as a respected authority in the industry, her projects have garnered an array of awards from organizations in the professional planning and private development world.
“We are extremely pleased to have Ms. Haluza join our staff in the City of Fullerton,” said Joe Felz, Fullerton’s City Manager. “She loves Fullerton. She went to school here and raised her family in this city. I am confident that she will bring the kind of vision and leadership here that will continue to make Fullerton a truly wonderful place to live, work and play.”

Karen holds a Masters of Public Administration and Teaching Credential from California State University, Fullerton; as well as undergraduate degrees in Social Ecology and Psychology from University of California, Irvine. She also earned a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
