Exciting news from the City of Mountain View as Danielle Lee was named the City’s FIRST Chief Sustainability and Resiliency Officer! We here at TB&Co., LLC, are proud to have managed this ground-breaking recruitment process!

“I am overjoyed to have this opportunity to lead the sustainability program for the City of Mountain View, a city that is leading the way regionally in building a sustainable community,” Lee said in the City’s media release. “I’m particularly excited about sustainability and resiliency from the lens of building a stronger and more connected community for everyone.”

City Manager Kimbra McCarthy is equally positive about Lee, and about the future of the City’s Sustainability Division, saying that Lee has “significant experience developing policies and implementing programs that foster sustainability, resilience, and community well-being” and “an ideal skill set to collaborate across the City organization and with community partners to set and accomplish Mountain View’s vision for a sustainable future.”

As CSRO, Lee will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership in support of sustainability and resiliency objectives; develop plans, policies and programs to achieve carbon neutrality, resiliency, adapability and equity; oversee the Sustainability Action Plan; and more. She has more than 17 years experience at the County of San Mateo, most recently as the Assistant Director in the Office of Sustainability. Lee has a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology from U.C. Berkeley and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at that same school.

We are very much looking forward to watching Danielle Lee’s work in this important position!
