Our Chief Operating Officer/Senior Recruiter Tina White was successful in recruiting Amada Deml from the City of Redmond, Washington to be the new Assistant Director – Community Services for Arts & Sciences for the City of Palo Alto. Amanda made the big move and started her new job in January. Yay!!
Prior to starting her new role in the birthplace of the Silicon Valley, Amanda served as Recreation Manager in the City of Redmond. Previously, she was Director of University Recreation and the University of Washington preceded by an incredible career moving up through the sporting and recreation ranks in university settings, including the University of Oregon and Colorado State University. We think we have successfully convinced her that cities are the place to be!
Amanda earned her Master’s in Education – Athletic Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management from Northwest Missouri State University.
We know she’s already killing it in Palo Alto. In a recent meeting, Community Services Director Kristen O’Kane told us, “Amanda is amazing!” We couldn’t agree more.
