We are pleased to announce the selection of Ryan Smith as the City of Pleasanton’s new Assistant Public Works Director for Utilities & Environmental Services.
Before joining Pleasanton earlier this summer, Ryan served as the Wastewater Division Manager for the City of Watsonville. With nearly 20 years of industry experience moving up through the supervisory and management ranks, he also served the cities of Richmond, San Mateo, Petaluma and Santa Rosa, as well as the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District.
And guess what? Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Systems Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. See why we’re so giddy!
