We are delighted to join the City of Redwood City in celebrating the appointment of Tiarra Warner as the new Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. With her impressive record of leadership, innovation, and equity-focused programming, Tiarra brings over 15 years of municipal experience in recreation and community services to our long-term client.
Upon making the announcement, City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz stated, “Tiarra’s passion for community-building, combined with her deep experience across cities of all sizes, makes her an exceptional addition to Redwood City. We are thrilled to welcome her and excited for the future of our parks and community services under her leadership.”
Tiarra currently serves as the Recreation Manager for the City of Rohnert Park. Her extensive background also includes service in the Cities of Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Signal Hill, and Long Beach. During her public sector career, she has overseen a wide range of programs, including youth sports, senior services, large-scale community events, and inclusive recreation initiatives.
Our candidate holds a Master’s degree in Recreation Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cal State Long Beach. Tiarra currently chairs the California Park and Recreation Society’s JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Counsel.
