On Nov. 1, the community of Pasadena gets its new Public Works Director. We were honored to have managed the recruitment that brought Tony Olmos to Pasadena from the City of Brea after a nationwide search that attracted a well-qualified raft of candidates.
In the City’s media release, City Manager Steve Mermell said, “I am confident that Tony will be a great addition to the City of Pasadena. In addition to having strong leadership skills, his qualifications are impressive. He has a track record of working well with the community — seeking input and providing solutions — as well as experience working with engaged constituents, leading change efforts, and building rapport and trust with employees and external stakeholders.”
During our recruitment process, Pasadena residents were invited to share online feedback and input on a new public works director via the City’s website, which is more and more a valuable and expected factor in public sector selections.
We congratulate both Tony and the City, and look forward to following the good work to be done on behalf of that lovely community.
