Trish Raver Joins the City of Walnut Creek

It’s February and love is definitely in the air! We are pleased to announce the City of Walnut Creek’s selection of Trish Raver to serve as Human Resources Director as our first (love) match of the month. Trish has an incredible background in HR having served most recently as HR Director in the City of Emeryville.

In announcing his decision, City Manager Dan Buckshi stated, “This is a critical position as we look at City staffing needs with the easing of the pandemic. Trish brings the experience, leadership and vision needed to focus our human resources priorities on organizational effectiveness as well as recruitment.”

With an extensive career in local government HR, Trish also served as HR Manager in the Cities of Livermore and Orinda in the Bay Area. She holds a MS degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco and earned her undergraduate degree in Communication from San Diego State University. In addition, Trish earned her certificate in Human Resources Strategic Leadership from Cornell University and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the Society of Human Resources Management.

“I’m looking forward to joining the Walnut Creek team, where I believe my personal values are well aligned with the values of the organizations,” Raver stated. “I’m excited to be leading the professional staff in the Human Resources Department, and working collaboratively with others in the City, as well as being a partner to enhance Walnut Creek’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.”
